professional development training


Social and Emotional Professional Development Trainings will provide practical solutions for how community-based organizations can be intentional about integrating SEL-friendly practices and policies to improve youth outcomes. Quarterly workshops will be targeted to direct service staff and the managers/directors that support them. Semi-annual sessions will be hosted to bring together executive leadership to explore how they can champion these efforts and set the SEL “tone at the top”.


QUARTER 1 - SElf management & self awareness

Host: Neighborhood House -The ability to accurately recognize and regulate one's own emotions, thoughts and values and how they influence behavior in different situations.

Host: Zilber School of Public Health - The ability to accurately recognize and regulate one's own emotions, thoughts and values and how they influence behavior in different situations.

Host: Milwaukee Christian Center - The ability to establish and maintain healthy and rewarding relationships.

Host: Urban Ecology Center - The ability to make constructive choices while realisticsall evaluating the consequences of those actions.
