ECE Coalition Featured by two Statewide Orgs

This October, the Milwaukee Succeeds-led Early Childhood Education (ECE) Coalition was featured by two statewide organizations, who highlighted the innovative work taking place within the diverse group.

Raising Wisconsin, a multi-sector coalition led by the Wisconsin Early Childhood Association, uplifted the coalition along with two other communities who are striving to make meaningful local improvements to child care access and affordability. They specifically called out the ECE Coalition’s successful advocacy for the $7 million in ARPA funding for the industry, the recent $5 million Workforce Innovation Grant, and the first-of-its-kind Child Care Counts survey of local providers.

The Wisconsin Department of Children and Families (DCF) included Milwaukee’s ECE Coalition in its list of Innovative Communities Around Wisconsin. Their list features five communities around the state who are working on innovative ideas to help solve the child care crisis.

“The Coalition works to build awareness of the importance of ECE, the challenges facing the sector, and ways to support it among Milwaukee’s leaders and members of the public,” says DCF.
