Ambassadors Build Awareness at COA Resource Event

COA's Diaper and Community Resource Fair on July 9 was the latest stop for our Early Childhood Education (ECE) Ambassadors. This dedicated group of women has been spending the past few months connecting with community members and sharing the importance of high-quality, affordable child care.

The event took place at COA's Goldin location, which is one of the ECE Ambassadors' target outreach sties for the summer. Other key locations you could find them this season are the Bay View Community Center, Malaika Learning Center, Penfield Children's Center and Yimma's Bright Beginnings Daycare. In all of these spaces, the Ambassadors are identifying community leaders who are passionate about civic engagement. These folks will be added to our ever-growing ECE Network list to help us build vital awareness around the need for continued support and investment into ECE.

During the resource fair, families browsed booths and received services around health and wellness, infant care products, clothing, community resources, health screenings, ECE supports, housing assistance and more. Our Ambassadors connected with many families with children aged 5 and under, identifying some excellent leaders around ECE organizing. They plan to follow up with these families - and meet many more - during the Amani Neighborhood Pop-Up Resource Fair on July 25 at 27th and Auer Avenue.
