Ambassadors Promote Upcoming Projects at Betty Brinn

A cohort of Early Childhood Education (ECE) Ambassadors stopped by the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum during their community access day on March 21. The monthly event, during which families receive free entry, drew in tons of parents and children, making it the perfect place to spread the word about the exciting things our Ambassadors are up to.

The Ambassadors used the opportunity to invite the community to our Week of the Young Child Kick-off at Pete’s Market on April 8 (10 a.m.-noon). The celebration will feature a kiddie-sized parade around the block, plenty of resources, giveaways and games, plus a special appearance by the Betty Brinn Wonder Van. The kick-off and ensuing week of events are intended to highlight the critical importance of a child’s first years and the significant role early educators play in their development.

The Ambassadors also used the event as a chance to promote the full range of community programming currently in development. The programming will feature family engagement events, workshops and trainings, and will cover such topics as family wellness, mental health, ECE advocacy and more. These community-focused activities will be hosted at Milwaukee Succeeds’ new home, ThriveOn King, in the coming months. Stay tuned for more information!
